Applying SEM study methods to accomplish an objective
Most of the study methods in my first book, The Self-Education Manual, may also be used as methods to help accomplish other objectives. For an example, as a starting point, use the methods in Step 1 listed on the Study Methods Chart for relating better to a chosen area on which to work. Then, use methods from Step 2 to choose an objective to accomplish. By using the Learner-Generated Scenario study method, you can try various scenarios, much as a chess player contemplating various possible moves before actually taking them. Lead yourself by asking and answering questions as suggested by the Why Question study method.
Following these suggestions allows you to be in charge. So, you lead yourself. In this way, especially if you otherwise do not know where to start, the Study Methods Chart can guide you toward reaching your objectives.
