Is this book for you?
First, here are the physical characteristics of the Self-Education Manual. If it were available in printed form, it would fill roughly one hundred seventy pages. The reading level is necessarily that of adult, since children tend to encounter vocabulary limitations. The language is necessarily English, because some of the examples employ study methods which make use of the sounds and multiple meanings characteristic of that language.
Second, here is a description of the practicality of the Self-Education Manual. Experiments have shown that the beneficiaries of the study methods described in the Manual range from preschoolers to senior adults. Thus, parents, teachers or care givers are sometimes needed to serve as facilitators. Accordingly, examples in the Manual attempt to address the needs and interests of several groups.
Finally, the logic and the visual aid tools are designed to work effectively. The handling of a variety of learning situations has been planned into the learning system recommended by the Manual. Exceptions are also anticipated and procedures for handling them are included. So, it is our hope that the reader can truly have confidence when he applies the learning system to confront whatever learning situation he attempts.
