A Test Drive for the SEM Learning System

Yesterday, while tutoring at a West Texas junior high school, I test drove the SEM learning system, using newly written demonstration examples. As a student was gathering possessions in preparation for leaving the school building, I asked the eighth-grader whether the quadratic equation had yet been taught. After the negative response, I explained the whys and hows of the subject as covered in the “Demonstration examples for the SEM learning system.” Then, I handed the student a blank page on which to write from memory the quadratic formula. The shocking success of the student’s recall prompted the student to whip out a cell phone to snap a picture of my piece of paper.

These demonstration examples will shortly appear, along with a demonstration copy of the Learning Tool Kit at sem-education.com as a free download to enable potential customers to test drive the SEM learning system. We hope the experience will result in wider distribution and successful use of the materials of Self-Education Equipment and Methods.
